Imagination ’ Window

Outside the window with its latticed woodwork and stained 
glass a phoenix strives to get in while inside ‘ the lantern , the three boteh ( bent cypress ) motifs painted on wall , and the pair of   slippers on the floor create an air of   mystery and expectation . This is one of Rassam’s more   imaginative works bordering on the surreal .
