B. Such a Dark and Stormy night Klim

Another Kilim has been inspired by a poem from Hafez.

Such a dark night, such perilous waves, and such a terrifying maelstrom Oh how can they feel our plight those who abide safely on the shore?

The left-hand side of the Kilim depicts the plight of the storm-tossed sailing boat while the right–hand side, with its gay colours and geometric motifs (taken from  Iranian tribal ware) symbolizes the easy life of the people on the shore.
