Engraved Woodwork Carpet Panel

Created by Rasam Arabzadeh

A pair of finely – carved wooden doors belonging to an old mosque in Isfahan served as the basis for the design of this rug.

Master Arabzadeh then added a hanging lantern to the composition to create highly nuanced effects of light and shade on the carved sections of the doors.
