A Quba Kenareh Rug

‘ Kenareh ‘ is a long and narrow rug, which is traditionally used to fill up the empty spaces left on the floor of the reception room in Iranian households.
Quba is the name of a certain type of geometrical pattern which is popular in Azerbaijan, Master Arabzadeh’s home province. Here Rassam has combined the two to create this unusual rug.
