Small World … Big Loonies Klim

Ths panoramic Kilim is an anti – war protest as eloquent in its message as Picasso,s ” Guernica ” absent are all the usual trappings of the conventional rug.

They have been replaced instead with bold lines and colours that depict triumphant  army on the march, trampling humantiy under its boots and wheels.

The style used by Master Arabzadeh for this magnum opus is very modern, almost  Cubist.

The Master himself has said of this Kilim:

I have tried to portray here some aspects of fighting, bloodshed, starvation, misery  and poverty that are all associated with war.

In my view, those  who think of war as a way of achieving their aims are mad.
