A Ceramic Mosaic Carpet

Created by Rasam Arabzadeh

Mo’ arraq, is the difficult art of cutting ceramic tiles into predete mined shapes to recombine them into a new pattern. Mo’arraq mosaics are found adorning the walls and ceilings of many Safavid mosques in Isfahan. Here Master Arabzadeh has successfully transferred a Mo’arraq ceiling to this rug.
